Dr. Suxiao Li and Dr. Suya Li had their training in very reputable medical institutions in China and had training and professional experience in acupuncture which likely exceeds those of most acupuncturists practicing in Canada and particularly is greater than the training of the relatively few physicians, including myself, who practice some acupuncture in a Canadian setting.

In 2003, my husband had very severe lung and heart disease threatening his life. He had trouble to cope with his daily living. He had difficulty to walk up stairs. When I first came to see Dr. Suxiao Li and Dr. Lu-Ying Yang in March 2008, I was in the worst physical and mental condition of my life. Lupus had taken over my life and I had almost given up the fight. Thank God my mom didn’t give up on me and she introduced me to the Canadian Advanced Health Centre. This is where I met the kind and knowledgeable Dr. Li and Dr. Yang, and the Bio Meridian computer. After a year of therapy, I can’t believe how far I have come.
I was diagnosed with Lupus in February 2006. It was a real shock and my life turned upside down. I turned from being a sporty, active, enthusiastic girl full of life into somebody who was constantly fatigued, who could no longer work, who could not go out into the sun, who was taking prescription drugs and seeing doctors almost 3 times a week.
We looked everywhere for a solution, for a cure: we tried Chinese traditional medicine including acupuncture and moxibution; Tai Chi and Qi Gong meditations; Naturopathic doctors that recommended vitamins and minerals; I tried Hydrogen peroxide and chelation therapy with nasty results. All the western doctors could recommend were prescription drugs which lead to long term side effects. It was a hopeless situation.
For two years I struggled with the disease and made slow progress. I slipped into a deep depression and also had severe anxiety. I felt lost and defeated. Finally my body made its last revolt and I was hospitalized again in February 2008. I had contracted pneumonia and pleuritis, a condition where my lungs filled with fluid. This was the worst pain of my life, it was unbearable. After a week in the hospital, all the doctors could do was increase my medication with no other solution.
We knew this was not a good long term solution. Eventually, the side effects of the drugs would destroy my body. Horrible effects such as osteoporosis, kidney failure, liver failure, immune system deficiency, and much more, would occur. This would not be a life worth living!
How lucky to find Dr. Li and Dr. Yang. They taught me the importance of nutrition. They introduced me to the Bio Meridian Machine, a sophisticated piece of equipment that could measure the body’s strength and weakness. The machine could pinpoint specific organs or areas that were stressed and weakened. And we used nutrition to heal. My diet no longer consisted of any processed foods, but instead was full of fresh fruit and vegetables. I started the Eexcel nutrition supplements including Milenium and Nutrifresh.
Along with increased nutrition, Dr. Li combined acupuncture, stone massage, heat therapy, recharge therapy, and Chinese herbal medication for me. After one year I feel so much progress! My lupus is under control and my body is stable. I have never felt so much energy! I feel strong and fit. My life has turned around. I have never been happier.
